Before 2024, Celebrity Cruises portrayed itself as a relaxed luxury cruise line. In reality, Celebrity looked like all the other cruise lines; people posing next to water views, over produced photos, and generic ship images.
On the Creative Team, we were looking for a solution to change the brand perception. We refreshed the look and feel of the brand with the ‘Nothing Comes Close’ campaign. We wanted to show a brand that was more authentic, approachable, playful and still elegant. Photos are more true to reality, authentic and elevated. Some of the executions for different marketing channels had a filmstrip treatment, replicating that authenticity that old photography reflects.
As this is the new spirit of the brand, this will be executed in the next big campaigns like Black Friday and the Semi-Annual Sale. This treatment also was applied in the most high-end product of Celebrity Cruises, The Retreat.
