In the second quarter of 2023 Celebrity Cruises welcomed its new ship Celebrity Ascent. I had the amazing opportunity to create and design its merchandise for the inaugural sailing and the naming ceremonies. The Merchandise was given to press, influencers and employees. Additionally, my typographical design was used as the main backdrop in both events.
I felt inspired by different sources from 80s typographical treatments, shirts from rock band tours, and The Great Wave of Kanagawa from Hokusai.
In the end, the Client loved all these options. Around 8,000 products were printed, primarily hats and 3 different colors of shirts.
Seeing my coworkers at Royal Caribbean using my design as part of their outfits was very satisfying.
